Previously reported to drop at Nike retailers on December 27th, this new Black and Sail Nike KD7 was once known as the “Pony Hair” edition. We now know that the inspiration behind the animalistic sneaker was Durant’s alma mater; the University of Texas at Austin. Though the newly named “Longhorn State” KD 7 EXT is draped in buttery soft pony hair, the sneaker was meant to emulate the university’s official mascot; the longhorn. Retailing for $200, the Nike KD 7 EXT Longhorn State is set to debut at Nike retailers, including Kixify, starting January 9, 2015.
