Per Nike: The Air Tech Challenge and the Air Tech Challenge II redefined tennis shoes. The ATC IIs synthetic leather upper allowed it to stand up to the rigorous back and forth, while also remaining lighter than most low top tennis shoes of that time. An external molded heel counter improved the fit and provided added comfort during long matches.Today, the ATC II has been remade for everyday wear, while staying true to the heritage that made it legendary. From the electric Hot Lava paint splatter to the original ATC tooling, no detail has been spared.
